Lecture: Duration 1.5 h

• Minimally Invasive Endodonctics- trends to be used in everyday practice
• classification of pathological changes in the pulp in the light of contemporary guidelines
• Vital Pulp Therapy - how to avoid root canal treatment using biomaterials
• immature teeth – simple solutions in cases of reversible and irreversible pulp inflammation
• injuries – is root canal treatment always necessary?
• methods of treatment leading to the preservation of teeth in difficult clinical situations

The lecture will address diagnostic considerations, modern trends in deep caries management but also pulp management and placement of biomaterials. It consider vital pulp therapy from the perspective of the practice of specialty endodontics, but can be useful to every practitioner who wants to stay up to date with the latest trends. It will discuss changes in pulp diseases classifications and show practitioners treatment options to consider other than pulpectomy or root canal therapy (RCT) possibilities in mature teeth, including teeth previously classified as irreversibly inflamed.
